The Peace Parade... 100 Years On

Abingdon Museum will be screening the Imperial War Museum's footage of the 1919 parade, which celebrates the return of troops from the Great War. After 100 years we look back at the event through this remarkable footage.

Come into the museum to see the film in the relaxed atmosphere of the museum's Mouse Hole Cafe. The film will repeat throughout the day from 10:30 to 15:30.


There will be also kids activity in the Kempster Room (museum basement) to make badges and flags celebrating the peace parade!

Activity time: 10:30 - 12:30, 13:00 - 15:00
Drop-in session, no need to book.

Accessibility - The basement is wheelchair accessible by lift from street level. The lift is located next to the museum (the west side) on the street. The cafe and Kempster Room are located in the museum basement. Disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are also located in the basement.
