Nia is holistic movement for body and soul. It is an expressive movement practice promoting fitness, creativity and wellbeing. Fusing dance, yoga, tai chi and martial arts, Nia provides a holistic workout and leaves you feeling energised, relaxed and centred.

Nia’s barefoot, grounded approach maximises body efficiency and teaches you to consciously move in a gentler way. Modern dance movements are mixed with heart-pumping karate kicks and subtle therapeutic suggestions and visualisation techniques that help you develop awareness and heighten sensation. The result is a fusion of movement styles that is incredibly free and liberating. Moving between simple choreography (form) and freedom of movement (freedance), Nia classes combine the grace and expressiveness of dance, the power and explosiveness of martial arts, and the wisdom and stillness of yoga and tai chi. The Nia principal of Your Body's Way enables you to find a way of moving that is pleasurable and joyful to YOU. This means that Nia is suitable for all people regardless of age, experience or fitness level.

Nia has been developed over the past 35 years, it has been created by Debbie & Carlos Rosas, and is now taught by certified facilitators all over the world. For more information go to

Vicky Rainbow will be facilitating the sessions. She has a wealth of experience and has been teaching in Oxfordshire & beyond for over 8 years. Vicky is a Nia blue belt and Nia freedance certified teacher. She is the owner of Soul Shine Wellbeing Space and also offers other classes/workshops in dance meditation, Arts/crafts and wellbeing...She is also a talented singer/songwriter...
