Vale Disability Access Group

This group works across the Vale of White Horse District to promote good quality disabled access in all the public areas of the market towns and the rural areas between. Their work ranges from encouraging businesses to maximise disabled access, to conducting surveys and giving awards for best practice, to advising the District Council when they seek to improve access or change road, path or building layouts. Their Chairman, Mike Moon, received a Mayor’s Award in May 2013 for the work the group has done in Abingdon-on-Thames. For information or advice about disabled access in Abingdon please contact cheryl.reeves@southandvale.gov.uk
