Armistice Day takes place on 11th November each year. It marks the day when, in 1918, the First World War came to an end. Armistice Day is commemorated by a two minute silence at 11am.  In Abingdon for a number of years people have gathered at the War Memorial to remember those who have given their lives and served in conflicts over the years.
