Music in the Park

This year Music in the Park takes place in the Abbey Grounds from 5pm on Saturday 3rd June 2017. After a busy six weeks, wristbands have now sold out . For those who have their wristbands the music starts at 5pm with a live performance from Flexamuscle. They are followed by  Shakedown Prophets, Bigtopp and the AGC Rock Band.  The evening concludes with a Proms Concert by Abingdon Town Band and  a Grand Firework Display. Following the  terrorist attack on the Manchester Arena on 22nd May 2017 the Council has reviewed the arrangements in place for Fun in the Park and Music in the Park on 3rd June 2017. The Council has taken advice from the Police and its security providers and has worked hard during the last week to review arrangements to help ensure as far as is possible that both these popular events are safe for all those families who come along to enjoy them.
