Please note, now that the fishing season is nearly here, that it is essential for all anglers to carry a permit to fish the town waters. To get a fishing permit please call in to the Information Centre which is located in Abingdon Museum between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm Tuesday to Saturday. You MUST obtain a fishing permit tomorrow if you would like to fish the first day of the Season on Sunday. You must also have an Environment Agency rod licence to fish. Britain’s newest Pride comes to Britain’s oldest town on Saturday 22nd June 2019. Abingdon Pride takes place on Saturday 22nd June and will include: Entertainment and stalls on the Market Place from 10am  to 5pm. Picnic area in the Roysse Court Gardens (opposite the Market Place). The Abbey Cinema will be showing the film ‘Pride’ . Celebrations will be held in venues around the town in the evening. Watch this space for the full programme.
