Abingdon For All

In March and April 2018 residents were invited to help progress the work of the Community Led Plan at a series of meetings which focused on the issues which had been highlighted by last autumn's community survey as priorities.  Representatives of the various organisations who have responsibilities in relation to the matters under consideration attended each of the meetings.

The meetings were as follows: 5th March -Transport and parking; 20th March - Planning, Housing and Flooding;16th April - Town Retail, Town Centre Development and Parking:

Notes of these meetings may be accessed at the foot of this page.

During the coming months the Council is organising further meetings to address the issues which have been raised by residents. The following dates have been set:

Monday 18th June at 7pm :  Community Safety, Flooding and Council Car Parks. Venue to be confirmed. There will be discussion of the issues facing the town in relation to the theme of the meeting.  Organisations with responsibilities will take away actions and matters for further consideration.  Most importantly it is intended that groups and individuals in the community can be empowered and tasked with taking initiatives forward from the meeting.

Tuesday 17th July at 7pm:  Community Led Plan Update Forum - to consider the progress made to date.

The intention is that the Community Led Plan becomes a living rolling action plan of activity which will help address the issues raised in the survey and improve Abingdon for all.

You can choose to attend one or all of the meetings which we are organising.  However you do need to register in order to attend and you may do this by e-mailing enquiries@abingdon.gov.uk

When we receive your request we will then e-mail you back to confirm your place.
