Your Mayor

At the Annual Meeting and Mayor Making of the Council, which took place in St Helen's Church on 9th May 2016, Cllr Alice Badcock was elected Mayor of Abingdon-on-Thames for the civic year 2016-2017. The Mayor named Mrs Rachael Titcombe as her Escort for the year.

The Mayor's Chaplain is Rev Dr Charles Miller, Rector of Abingdon.  

The Mayor's Charities are "Little Troopers" ; Oxfordshire MIND which has a centre at The Charter and the Over 70s Christmas Party. For further details on the charities please click here.

The Mayor's Cadets are Corporal Dean Robinson of 2121 Squadron Air Cadets and Lance Corporal Ben Southey of the Army Cadets.

Cllr Jan Morter was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Abingdon-on-Thames. 

Clubs, societies and other organisations often request that the Mayor attend their event as a guest.  The Mayor is pleased to represent the town at such events but the Mayor's diary is a very busy one.  Should you wish toi invite the Mayor to your event you are encouraged to contact the Mayor's Secretary at the earliest possible opportunity.
