Your Local Representatives

There are three tiers within Oxfordshire’s local government structure:

Each council is represented by councillors who are voted by the local electorate every four years. For lists of the councillors for each body click on each title below:


The Member of Parliament (MP) for Oxford West and Abingdon is Layla Moran and she represents you in the House of Commons. The House of Commons is responsible for making laws in the UK and for overall scrutiny of all aspects of government. 


The Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner is Anthony Stansfield.
If you are aged 11-18, you will have a local representative in the UK Youth Parliament. You can find out more or search for activities, opportunities and services for young people on the Oxfordshire County Council Youth site.
