Free guidebook with useful town information

Abingdon-on-Thames publishes its Town Guide with information about the services, history and major activities in the town. A copy has been delivered to every household and there are also copies available at the Visitor and Community Information Centre.

A new Council has been elected since publication so for information on your town councillor please use this website. Standbrook guides are available on many towns in the country. Their guide lists businesses and services with contact information which is updated by them every eighteen months.

Abingdon-on-Thames Visitor and Community Information Centre is based on the Ground Floor of the Roysse Court Offices, Bridge Street, OX14 3HU. Email only. When open again 09:30 am until 3.00 pm Monday to Saturday. Printed town centre maps are available here or by email

Since the town guide was produced the town cinema The Abbey Cinema has opened. Films are on offer at varied times of day normally seven days a week  The cinema offers meals and snacks in comfortable chairs with tables whilst watching films, also 170 cinema seats in raked seating with coffee cp or wine glass holders.
