This section of the website is to help local residents find out more about the place in which they live, also how to access services that are available and ways of reaching organisations and institutions that are in town to help.

If you prefer a face to face chat with someone who can tell you about services and their locations you are welcome to call at the town's Information which also acts as a reception for enquiries about our town. Currently Abingdon-on-Thames Visitor and Community Information is in County Hall Museum. This is the large market hall building on Market Place. This is because access is being improved at the Guildhall address.

The Desk Staff are available to help with queries about the town during the hours of 10.00 and 3.00 pm Tuesday to Saturday and leaflets are available whenever the Museum is open. On Mondays the service is closed but available on the main Town Council number.

In Abingdon-on-Thames there are still a range of places where you can get information or advice from a friendly face, not just a computer screen or a phone service! Whether its bus times and opening times, help with family problems or some information about the town or the local services, there are a number of organisations you can turn to in the town centre.
