Abingdon Visitor and Community Information Centre

Abingdon-on-Thames Visitor and Community Information Centre has easy access at Roysse Court OX14 3HU six days each week 01235 522711. Open until 3 pm Monday to Saturday.

Our desk staff at the Centre can provide you with information on local travel, things to do and places to stay, eat and drink in and around the town. They can provide information on Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council services, town events and assist with Council services which are upstairs in the same building, to the right of the lawns at the front of Guildhall. 

Tourism signs currently point to County Hall Museum which is open Tuesday to Sunday with the opportunity to view the town from the roof cupola most fine days until shortly before closing time 4.00 pm. Audio tours and a personal guide is available to point out the town's significant buildings, the course of the Thames and other sights. This is a 'must see' attraction particularly for photographers. Leave your family in the Market pLace and photograph them from on high.

Town Council offices are open each weekday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at Roysse Court.

For any town crisis or emergency experienced in the evening outside all office hours only you may call the Vale of White Horse District Council out of hours number, 01235 524886. However please note that this number should only be called in an emergency. Thames Valley Police on 101 may be more appropriate.
